Every year, Boise Farmer’s Markets in the Treasure Valley have been gathering places for local farmers, producers, and artisans to showcase their products and interact with the community. The markets have been a fun weekly event in the community, bringing locally grown and produced food to families.

Farmer’s Markets often start in May and run until October, but lately, due to popular demand, they are opening in April. The options for farmer’s markets in the Treasure Valley promise to be bigger and better than ever before. 

If you’ve never been to one of Idaho’s Farmer’s Markets, not far from the best neighborhoods in Boise, now is the perfect time to join in on the fun and experience everything they have to offer.

What to Expect at Treasure Valley Farmer’s Markets

Below I’ll share with you all the details of the local farmer’s markets that you can visit this season. If you’re considering moving to Boise Idaho and plan to visit this summer, be sure to stop by a farmer’s market. Bring cash or plan to use Venmo at many stands to purchase things such as local honey and sourdough bread to locally grown produce and prepared food, too. Come hungry, bring a reusable bag, and be ready to meet local vendors and neighbors.

Boise Farmer's Market

Boise Farmers Market

Saturdays, 9 am – 1 pm, April through October, 1500 Shoreline Drive, Boise, ID 83702

The Boise ID Farmers Market’s mission for this year is to create a space for local farmers and producers to sell their products directly to consumers, supporting regenerative and healthy food and agricultural system, by operating a vibrant marketplace and engaging community.

Capital City Public Market

Saturdays, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, April 15th through December, The Grove Plaza, Downtown Boise

The Capital City Public Market is Idaho’s Largest Outdoor Public Market. It’s located in the heart of downtown Boise on Grove Plaza. Since 1994, the Capital City Public Market has been connected to local producers and entrepreneurs. This market offers a wide variety of locally made items for sale that make great gifts, locally made food and meals, and more.

Meridian Main Street Market

Meridian Main Street Market

Saturdays, 9 am – 1 pm, April 13, to October 12, 2024, 33 E. Broadway Ave., Meridian

The Meridian Main Street Market, located in downtown Meridian,  is open to all types of vendors, including farmers, artisans, food vendors, and youth who want to experience selling their products. What makes this street market unique is that it provides opportunities for the youth. Jill and I shop here regularly as our favorite farmers, Riverstead Farm, sell their locally and humanly raised chicken, beef, and eggs here each week.

Eagle Farmers Market_
Eagle Saturday Market

Eagle Saturday Market

Saturdays, 9 am – 2 pm, May 4th to October 5th,, 2024, at Eagle City Hall

Started in 2002, the Eagle Saturday Market is a community gathering place for residents and visitors. Managed by the City of Eagle Parks and Recreation, they focus on providing an array of locally made crafts and food products. From local produce, herbs, flowers, and baked goods, there is something for everyone at this market.

Nampa Farmers Market

9 am – 1:30 pm, April 20, 2024 through October, 2024, Historic Downtown Nampa in Lloyd Square Park, 13th and Front St, Nampa

Nampa Farmers Market, established in 1989, offers a wide selection of fresh produce and locally made products. Starting in 2024, they are staying open an extra 30 minutes so that you can enjoy lunch and shopping longer. Their mission is to provide a venue for local farmers, producers, and crafters to directly sell their goods and promote healthy living within the community.

Farmers Market in Treasure Valley

Farm to Fork Farmers Market, Caldwell

Tuesdays 5 pm – 9 pm, May 14, 2024, through September 24, 2024,  Indian Creek Plaza, downtown Caldwell

Located in Downtown Caldwell, the Farm to Fork (also known as the Indian Creek Caldwell Farmers’ Market) runs on Tuesdays in conjunction with the Summer Concert Series called Tuesdays on the Creek. They provide an outlet for locally grown produce and food producers and allow the community to come together for music and food.
