First up is Meridian Idaho. Located in Ada County just to the west of Boise. It’s one of the fastest-growing cities in America, and as a result, it has its own bustling areas filled with businesses, shops, restaurants and other businesses.
The city of Meridian offers an array of housing options and is the perfect place for families and individuals looking for a suburban feel. With its close proximity to downtown Boise, Meridian gives residents easy access to all of the amenities that the city of Boise has to offer. It is home to The Village at Meridian, one of the best shopping areas in or around Boise with many businesses and restaurants, and family-friendly activities for all ages.

Next is Eagle, Idaho located about 10 miles NorthWest of downtown Boise. It’s a smaller city with a population of about 24,000 people. Eagle is known for its small-town charm and offers many outdoor recreation opportunities such as hiking, biking, and fishing spots close by.
The city of Eagle is a vibrant and growing community with luxury housing options for everyone. You’ll find luxury subdivisions and golf courses in the area and its close proximity to Boise, Idaho makes it an ideal place to live. A rich history and many activities available, Eagle is the perfect spot for those looking to experience a close-knit community.

Middleton
Third on our list is Middleton, located about 20 miles west of Boise. This is a great place for families who want something quieter and more rural than living right in the city.
If you want to take a break from the busy city life and relax in the countryside, Middleton is the place for you. It’s a great area to be in, especially with properties that are cheaper than its neighboring cities.
It’s among one of the oldest towns in Idaho and Canyon County’s only incorporated city, making it a great place to live. Right now, Middleton is 3rd on Niche’s Best Boise Suburbs list.
Garden City
Just West of Downtown Boise, Garden City is a smaller city that offers easy access to all the amenities of downtown. It’s a great area for those who want to live near downtown but also away from the hustle and bustle of it.
As of now, it’s ranked 4th on Niche’s Best Boise Suburbs List. A great mix of luxury and affordable housing options, Garden City is the perfect place to call home. It’s a great spot for outdoor activities such as riding on the greenbelt trail along the Boise River.
Kuna
Finally, Kuna is located about 20 minutes southwest of Boise and sits nestled between two mountain ranges, the Owyhee Mountains and the Boise Mountains. This city is generally known for its semi-rural atmosphere and stunning views of the surrounding area.
Kuna has some of the most affordable housing in the Boise metro area and also features plenty of parks and recreational activities. A small community that maintains a friendly small-town feel, Kuna is a great place for those looking for a quieter life. Many people move here because of the affordability, yet still in a great location in the Treasure Valley.
Nampa
The second largest city in the Treasure Valley, Nampa is a bustling area with many housing opportunities. Star
Last on our list is Star, located about 25 minutes northwest of Boise. This small rural town has a population of just over 20,000 and growing, it’s one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Treasure Valley areas. It offers a range of housing options as there are many new developments being build.
Situated 16 miles west of Boise, Star is becoming a more popular place to move to. Near some of the most beautiful sights in the Treasure Valley such as Shafer Butte, the Owyhee Mountains, and the Boise foothills, there are plenty of outdoor activities for the adventurous. The city is known to have a slower lifestyle and affordable homes, which is ideal for those that like the small-town life.
